The embroidered ceremonial blankets of the Shipibo tribe reflect the tribe's cosmology, and their patterns represent visions associated with healing and natural medicine. The Shipibo themselves say that their traditional patterns represent the paths of medicine and the small dots are "doctorsitos", or spirit healers.
