Mói Mapacho originates from the lush landscapes of the Brazilian Amazon, near the border with Peru. It is a distinctive variety of Nicotiana rustica, valued for its character and Amazonian origin.
It is traditionally cultivated in the Upper Juruá region, an area known for its exceptional biodiversity and rich cultural heritage. The wider region is home to Indigenous peoples such as the Ashaninka, Kuntanawa, Shawãdawa and Huni Kuin, whose traditions remain closely connected with the surrounding rainforest and its natural resources.
Mói Mapacho is cultivated in the fertile Amazonian environment of the Upper Juruá, where local knowledge and traditional growing practices are passed down from generation to generation.
The dried leaves are distinguished by their characteristic aroma, texture and appearance. Each batch reflects the specific growing conditions, soil and climate of its region of origin.
Our Mói Mapacho comes from the Brazilian Amazon, with an emphasis on traceable origin, traditional cultivation and respect for the communities and landscapes connected with its production.
A distinctive Amazonian botanical specimen reflecting the natural and cultural diversity of the Upper Juruá region.
Haux e muita alegria!
