        PALO SANTO Wood from Peru

        11.11 €

(Bursera Graveolens) Palo Santo or Holy Wood is a natural woody aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes for medicinal purposes as well as to ward off evil spirits and misfortune. Shamans in Ecuador and throughout South America use the smoke of this wood to purify the energy of a person or place, especially in jungle ceremonies.

Palo Santo is certified and comes from sustainable plantations in Peru. The Palo Santo wood we use comes from trees that have already completed their life cycle and are naturally "dying". When the tree enters this period, its chemical transformation begins, which lasts approximately 3 or 4 years, and only after this time does the wood acquire aromatic and medicinal properties. According to the Indians, this is the time it takes for the spirits of the palo santo trees to materialize in the essential oil and gain sufficient power.

Burn a piece of palo santo and let yourself be carried away by the energy and its pleasant and delicate aroma that it gives to cleanse and harmonize your home.

It has a subtle sweet and citrus fragrance with base notes of incense and provides an uplifting aroma that raises your vibration in preparation for meditation and allows for a deeper connection with the source of all creation. Palo Santo is a wild tree found in areas from Mexico to Peru and belongs to the same family as frankincense and myrrh. This tree produces an incredibly aromatic and hypoallergenic resin that only increases in concentration with age.

Palo Santo wood has been prized for centuries for its lasting light, its unique fragrance, along with its physical and spiritual benefits. From the ancient times of the Inca civilization to the present day, it has been common for many indigenous traditions in South America to harvest this sacred wood after its natural death and during the ripening process. Considered one of the most fragrant woods in the world, the scent of Palo Santo helps raise your vibration and bring you a deeper connection with the Earth.

Use a match or lighter to light your Palo Santo. Let it burn at the tip for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then blow out. The rich aroma will also bring peace and brightness to the moment along with good feelings. When done, place the bar in an ovenproof dish. The glow will end on its own unless you blow on the ember to keep the smoke going. You can relight it and use it at any time.

These Palo Santo pieces are sustainably wild harvested from a reserve in Peru from naturally fallen trees and branches that lie dead for 4 to 10 years before being harvested.

        -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Palo Santo is widely used for its energy clearing and healing properties similar to Sage and Cedar. It provides an uplifting fragrance that raises our vibration. In ceremonial work, it opens communication with the astral world, and enables a deeper connection with the Source of all creation. Palo Santo is also said to increase creativity and bring good luck to those who are open to its magic.

Palo Santo means "Holy Wood" in Castilian, which is the popular name of the Bursera Graveolens tree. This wood was used both by the Incas and by indigenous people, healers and shamans in several Latin American countries. Traces of Palo santo have already been found in the archaeological sites of the ceremonial centers of the pre-Inca peoples.

The Palo Santo tree lives between 50 and 90 years, and in order to obtain wood of satisfactory aromatic quality, it is possible to extract this from the trunks only after the natural death of the tree, when such a tree must remain in the same place. The time required for the aromatic resin to form itself and become a true Palo Santo varies from 4 to 10 years.

This sacred wood, like the Phoenix, in order to be considered magical, must wait for death to pass through the process of rebirth, through the action of time, environmental changes, and without human intervention.

Burn Palo Santo if you need to strongly cleanse a space or people, to ward off all negative forces, when you are tired due to nervous exhaustion, to calm down, increase sensitivity to subtle vibrations and induce divination abilities and visions.
