        CBG cannabigerol effects, benefits

Amazing cannabigerol (CBG) - how is it created, why is it beneficial for us and how is it better than CBD? Let's take a closer look at it, it's worth it.

In our opinion, cannabigerol is a very interesting and important substance obtained by extraction from hemp, Cannabis Sativa or Indica. It has wonderful and beneficial effects on our body, that is why it rightfully deserves attention and the name "mother" of all cannabinoids that are produced in the plant.

A little technical...cannabigerol is one of over 140 identified cannabinoid compounds found in the Cannabis plant genus. Cannabigerol is the decarboxylated form of cannabigerolic acid, the parent molecule from which other cannabinoids are synthesized.

CBG is classified as a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, meaning it is non-intoxicating, unlike THC. Since it is only found in small amounts (usually less than 1%) in most varieties of cannabis, CBG is considered a very rare - minor cannabinoid.

However, the two most important and most abundant cannabinoids - THC and CBD - surprisingly come from CBG. The latter is their chemical precursor (a substance that participates in a chemical reaction that produces another substance).

CBG or cannabigerol is very similar to CBD in its effects. So it also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, is a good antioxidant and works great as an antidepressant. It simply puts you in a proper state of well-being and at the same time helps the body to a state of homeostasis.

How does CBG work in the human body?

CBG acts on the two cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 of the human body's endocannabinoid system. CBG harmonizes natural processes in the body and thereby supports its defenses. It has a positive effect on disorders of the central nervous system, including neurological disorders, CBG blocks serotonin receptors.

According to some studies, CBG may be a promising treatment for several chronic diseases. Let's look at the potential benefits of cannabigerol for our health.

CBG has antibacterial properties. Studies have shown the antibacterial properties of CBG, especially for MRSA. Staphylococcus aureus resistant to penicillin or methicillin is a type of staphylococcal infection that is resistant to the most common type of antibiotic - methicillin. This characteristic makes MRSA an extremely dangerous or even fatal infection. According to the results of a study conducted in 2008, cannabigerol has shown promise as an antibacterial agent for the treatment of MRSA. According to cannabis experts, CBG has the potential to treat bacteria that were previously resistant to traditional antibiotics. Various topical treatments using hemp have been used effectively to treat skin infections since the 1950s.

CBG contributes to the inhibition of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) reuptake. Pharmacologically, GABA uptake inhibitors are already used to treat patients with anxiety. CBG's ability to inhibit GABA uptake could lead to tension release, muscle relaxation, as well as a sense of calm and peace both physically and mentally. Thus, by reducing GABA uptake, cannabigerol could potentially reduce anxiety states.

Another benefit of cannabigerol that has attracted much attention from scientists and doctors around the world is its potential ability to treat cancer. Several laboratory studies have shown that CBG can inhibit the growth of cancer cells. Specifically, cannabigerol has been shown to block receptors that cause cancer cells to grow. CBG may act as a direct inhibitor of tumor progression. Results of a 2014 study reported that cannabigerol inhibited tumor growth in colon cancer. CBG inhibited tumors and chemically induced colon carcinogenesis, indicating a very promising treatment option for colorectal cancer, which is widespread in the country.

CBG helps in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. According to the results of a 2015 mouse study, the use of cannabigerol alone or in combination with other phytocannabinoids may be a potential treatment for neurodegenerative diseases, including Huntington's disease, which is characterized by the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain. CBG can normalize the expression of abnormal genes that are associated with brain degeneration, thereby acting as a neuroprotective compound.

It can help with inflammatory bowel diseases and colitis. Successful results of a 2013 study demonstrated the possibility of using CBG in colitis. Cannabigerol has been shown to reduce colon inflammation. According to the study, patients using cannabis reported successful management of abdominal and joint pain, cramps, diarrhea, weight loss, nausea and poor appetite.

It helps to treat glaucoma and reduce intraocular pressure. Because endocannabinoid receptors predominate in eye structures, CBG is thought to be particularly effective in the treatment of glaucoma because it can lower intraocular pressure. It acts as a strong vasodilator and has neuroprotective effects.

CBG is also very effective for inflammation, including skin inflammation. The results of a 2007 study demonstrated the ability of cannabigerol to treat psoriasis and eczema. In addition to what has already been mentioned, CBG can help reduce inflammation caused by autoimmune disease.

With any medicine, including cannabinoids, the correct dosage is the guarantee of a successful result. The dosage of CBG is purely individual and depends on a number of factors including your body weight, age, the disease or condition you wish to treat, and any current concomitant medications. Doctors usually recommend sticking to a dose of 5-10 mg of hemp tincture once or twice a day and not increasing it further. For best results, drop CBG under your tongue and swish it around in your mouth for about a minute before swallowing. This method of use helps the body fully absorb the cannabinoid before it passes through the digestive tract.

Cannabigerol does not contain psychoactive cannabinoids, so it is considered safe and can be used at any time of the day. Currently, there is little data on the side effects associated with cannabigerol. As with CBD, which is also a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, you cannot overdose on it and the only side effect you may experience is drowsiness. However, you must consult your doctor before using CBD or CBG oil, especially if you are already taking prescription medications. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it is possible that cannabigerol may adversely interact with specific components of prescribed medications.

Possible effects and benefits of CBG

        • Inflammation: CBG is suitable for both acute and chronic and long-term inflammatory processes in the body.

I want to try the CBG & CBD balm

Hemp Balm with CBG & CBD by LaHerba

What was found in the experiments?

In animal experiments with mice, CBG has been shown to reduce the inflammation characteristic of inflammatory bowel disease. In a recent 2015 study, CBG was shown to protect neurons in mice with Huntington's disease, which is characterized by neuronal degeneration in the brain.

In particular, CBG has been shown to block receptors that cause cancer cells to grow! In one animal study, it was shown to inhibit the growth of colon and rectal cancer cells in mice, thus slowing the progression of colon cancer. CBG inhibits tumors and chemically induced carcinogenesis and thus offers a very interesting option for the treatment of colon and rectal cancer.

European research shows that CBG is an effective antibacterial agent, especially against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bacteria, which are resistant to different classes of drugs. Since the 1950s, topical hemp supplements have been effective for skin infections, but scientists were unaware of the chemical composition of the plant at the time.

CBG could also be particularly effective in treating glaucoma because it reduces intraocular pressure. It is an effective vasodilator, which also has neuroprotective effects. We believe that you will like our CBG products, they will accompany you and improve your health and quality of life.
