PALO SANTO Wood

Palo Santo or Holy Wood is a natural woody aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes for medicinal purposes as well as to ward off evil spirits and misfortune. Shamans in Ecuador and throughout South America use the smoke of this wood to purify the energy of a person or place, especially in jungle ceremonies.

Palo Santo is certified and comes from sustainable plantations in Peru. The Palo Santo wood we use comes from trees that have already completed their life cycle and are naturally "dying". When the tree enters this period, its chemical transformation begins, which lasts approximately 3 or 4 years, and only after this time does the wood acquire aromatic and medicinal properties.
