Caneleiro — the guardian of the ground
Rapé Caneleiro is a deeply grounding blend of the Huni Kuin people of Acre, Brazil. It combines ceremonial Mapacho with ash of the sacred Caneleiro tree (Cenostigma macrophyllum).
Its character is stable and earth-connected. In tradition it is associated above all with grounding – a fresh, clear head and both feet firmly on the ground – followed by cleansing and protection.

Some blends lift you up, others bring you back down. In the Huni Kuin tradition Caneleiro belongs to the second group: it is described as a guardian that keeps a person rooted – clear in the head, yet firmly anchored in the body and on the earth. That is why it is often placed among the most grounding blends of our collection.

The botanical story
Cenostigma macrophyllum
Caneleiro is a tree of the legume family native to Brazil. Its name comes from canela – cinnamon – and its Latin name macrophyllum means “large-leaved”.
For this blend, the Huni Kuin prepare a fine ash from the tree and combine it with Mapacho according to ancestral knowledge.
