Mulateiro — the Rapé of resilience and renewal
Rapé Mulateiro is a strong blend prepared by the Huni Kuin people from the bark of the Mulateiro tree (Calycophyllum spruceanum), Mapacho and other Amazonian plants. The peoples of the forest revere Mulateiro as a true Maestro Planta (Master Plant) – a teacher of shedding the old and embracing renewal. This sacred Hapé is a highly sought-after shamanic medicine.
In tradition it is associated with a strong sense of cleaning thoughts, mental clarity and arriving deeper in the present moment – followed by stable grounding, inner strength and determination.

The botanical story
Calycophyllum spruceanum
Mulateiro is a tall tree of the Amazonian floodplains, known among indigenous peoples by many names – Força, Capirona or Pau-Mulato. Every year it sheds its old bark, revealing a smooth, glossy trunk in shades of green and bronze – which is why it is called the “Tree of Youth”.
