Mariri — the vine that brings you home
Rapé Mariri is a premium ceremonial blend of the Shawãdawa people, carrying the wisdom and strength of the deep jungle. Its key ingredient is ash of the sacred vine Banisteriopsis caapi – called Mariri by the Pano-speaking peoples – combined with organic Mapacho and ash of sacred Amazonian trees.
“Each pinch is a bridge between earth and spirit, helping you return home – to stillness, clarity and presence.” In tradition it is associated with deep meditation, quieting the inner dialogue, mental clarity and ceremonial cleansing – and with a firm sense of grounding.

Sacred medicine of the vine
A bridge between earth and spirit
For the peoples of the Amazon, Mariri is a sacred shamanic medicine used for countless generations. In tradition it brings a feeling of lightness, energises the spirit and supports deep inner cleansing – of both the energy field and the body, including releasing mucus. It is said to sharpen the mind and concentration, bring emotional calm, open the crown and the third eye and clear mental fog – connecting a person with their Higher Self, the spirit of nature and Pachamama.

The botanical story
Banisteriopsis caapi
Mariri is one of the many names of the sacred liana Banisteriopsis caapi – known elsewhere as Jagube, Caapi, Yagé or Aya. The Pano-speaking peoples of Acre, including the Shawãdawa, call the vine itself Mariri.
In our collection the vine appears in three blends with distinct characters: Jagube grounds and leads inward, Aya integrates emotions, and Mariri ceremonially cleanses.
