Rapé Tsunu is a powerful classic blend of the Yawanawá people, prepared with ash of the sacred Tsunu tree (Platycyamus regnellii), also known as Pau Pereira, and Mapacho. One of the oldest and best-known Rapé blends, it carries a clear, earthy character.

In tradition it is used to prepare and “open” the spirit before ceremony, meditation or prayer – creating a steady space for presence, focus and connection with spirit, and returning to a calm inner centre.

Tsunu (Platycyamus regnellii), known in Brazil also as Pau Pereira, is a tall native tree of the legume family. Its bark is burned into the fine, pale ash that forms the backbone of countless traditional Rapé recipes across Acre.
