The botanical story
The bark of the sacred Tsunu
The key ingredient of authentic Rapé Nukini is the bark of the sacred Tsunu tree (Platycyamus regnellii), a tall Brazilian tree of the legume family, known in Brazil also as Pau-Pereira. It is combined with other Amazonian herbs whose exact recipe is a guarded secret, passed down from generation to generation.
Tsunu also appears in other blends of our collection – Rapé Tsunu Huni Kuin and Rapé Pau Pereira. Read more about the tribe in our article about the Nukini people.
