Sananga Nukini Força — the strongest of the three
Sananga is a traditional Amazonian botanical preparation made from the shrub Tabernaemontana sananho. This version is prepared by the Nukini people of Acre, Brazil, according to their own recipe. Força means “strength” in Portuguese – it is the most intense of the three versions we offer from the Nukini.
In tradition it is associated with clarity, grounding and ceremony – and it is often present in the same ceremonial space as Rapé.

The botanical story
Tabernaemontana sananho
Sananga is the name of both the preparation and the plant it comes from. Tabernaemontana sananho is a shrub of the dogbane family (Apocynaceae) growing in the Amazon rainforest. Known across Brazil as the “Forest Eye Drop” (Colírio da Floresta), it bears fragrant white, star-shaped flowers.
Indigenous communities in Brazil and Peru have used this liquid preparation for generations within rituals and ceremonies. Learn more in our complete guide to Sananga.

Hunters traditionally turned to Sananga before setting out into the forest – it is linked with sharpened senses and clearing “panema”, bad luck in hunting.
Ceremonies
Part of tribal ceremonies, often together with Rapé. It symbolises cleansing one’s gaze and opening perception.
